Attic Theory
Remaining members of Liverpudlian based rock band Matchstickmen, Lewis Wright and Peter Donnelly are joined by guitarists Tim Cunningham (Rain May Fall) and Matt Lawler, Kenny McArthur on bass and Matt Simon (Limehawk/Guns N’ Roses Tribute – Guns2 Roses) on drums.
The new line-up perform their self-proclaimed genre of Alternative Groove Rock. Attic Theory are as grungy as one can be without losing the rock ‘n’ roll charm.
Since forming in late 2017, the band have performed a selection of high profile support slots for The Soapgirls, Saving Abel, Psycho Village, Tragedy, Derange, Elvana and Seattle legends Candlebox and have performed at Rock N’ Roll Marathons, Biker Festivals and horror and tattoo Conventions across the country.
Earlier this year, The band were crowned ‘BEST NEW BAND’ at Planet Rock Radios ‘The Rocks 2020’ awards. ’The Rocks’ is Planet Rock’s seventh annual celebration of the greatest British and international rock music and every single category at The Rocks is voted entirely by the fans!
‘Best New Band’ is always one of the hardest fought categories, Attic Theory’s lead singer Lewis Wright reflects on their win – “We are incredibly honored to take home the award for ‘Best New Band’. We could not have done this without the support of our fans… our ‘Theorists’, our family and our friends and everyone who voted for us. It means the world to us.”
Attic Theory are scheduled to perform live at Planet Rockstock 2020, in Trecco Bay, South Wales in December. The release date of the band’s debut EP ‘The Sign Of An Active Mind’ is planned to coincide with the event.
