About Pluggin’ Baby

Pluggin’ Baby was established in 2013 and is a UK-based radio plugging company helping artists and bands get their music heard by radio presenters and producers across the UK and beyond.

Founded by Emma Scott, Pluggin’ Baby combines nearly four decades of radio presenting experience with an extensive network of contacts across the industry. Having worked both on-air and behind the scenes, Emma knows what radio presenters and producers are looking for — and how best to introduce new music to them.

During her radio career, Emma has worked for two of the UK’s biggest radio groups, Bauer Media and Global, at stations including Kerrang! Radio, Power FM, Capital FM, Heart, Galaxy FM, Metro FM, Juice FM and Hallam FM.

Pluggin’ Baby works with both independent and signed artists, specialising in rock, indie, pop, metal and other guitar-based music.

We plug to a wide range of radio — from specialist shows, community and internet stations through to FM, DAB, regional and, where appropriate, UK national radio contacts. We also work with selected stations and presenters around the world.

Every campaign is handled personally. We’ll help you prepare your release for radio, advise you throughout the campaign and keep you updated on the results. We want your music to have the strongest possible opportunity of being heard by the right people.

Break Your Band: A Guide to Getting Radio Airplay was published in 2012 and is a practical guide to understanding radio promotion and getting your music in front of presenters. This title is no longer available to purchase.

If It Was My Band… was published in 2014 and covers practical advice for musicians navigating the music industry. It is now available exclusively as a downloadable eBook through the Pluggin’ Baby website.
