INDYA

Laudez Rose is the rock artist Indya. Hailing from Chiddingstone in Kent and is quoted by Prog Rock Magazine as “having vibes like Def Leppard, peppered with her own swagger and spice”.

Laudez studied music at the Brit School in Croydon & then furthered her music training at Colins Performing Arts college in Romford. She has Italian blood but with a cheeky Essex accent. She was influenced from a young age by the likes of Van Halen, incorporating this work of art into her own music, but with a pop ska twist. Cheeky, sexy, and sassy Indya has a unique sound.

Indya was formed in 2015 after having finished college & her first ever gig was playing for Noel Gallagher at his after-show party for his High Flying Birds tour at the O2 in Liverpool after having been heard by Alan McGee, who was DJ’ing at the party.

It was here that she wowed the audience with her larger-than-life character, and incredible talent. With huge hair, “An Amy Winehouse look” as quoted by Johnny Doom on Kerrang! Radio, she can’t be missed.

Influences:

Van Halen, Madonna, Pat Benetar, Hendrix, Nenah Cherry, Annie Lennox, FKA Twigs

Indya’s live musicians are:

Andy Basiola – Guitar
Josh De Mita – Bass
Joel Day -Drums

They have performed alongside the likes of Toploader, Republica, Shvpes, Skarlett Riot, Sonic Boom Six, EMF, Space, Joanovarc, UB40 and The Duallers.

Kerrang! Magazine caught the attention of Indya after Kerrang! Radio presenter Johnny Doom appeared in her music video as a gangster in “Tha Final Line”.

INDYA has played live on numerous occasions on BBC Radio Kent, and has had interviews on Kerrang! Radio, the BBC & most recently with LOUDER which went onto the Classic Rock website & Metal Hammer.

This month has seen INDYA appear on the free cd with PROG MAGAZINE. And she was also rated in Fireworks Magazine with her record “Insane Love”. The band has also played big festivals such as Weyfest, Heaven and Hell Fest, Harley Davidson, Girls That Rock Fest, Vegas Rocks, Camden Rocks Fest and Ace Café Bike Fest.

About Love Like Champagne: Laudez says:

“I was insanely in love and obsessed with a producer. It was a secret – obviously, he didn’t know.
One night, I got through two bottles of Champagne whilst looking at photos of him, so, this song just conveys the madness I felt.

I was influenced production-wise by FKA TWIGS I decided to reverse synths and detune pitch shifting of my own vocal to create instruments effects.  I decided to experiment with pitch stretching and changing the sample rate on hi-hats and rim shots.  I wrote the song in my bedroom during Lockdown, then took it to the studio where my producer Dave Needham took control and helped in the music writing process”.

LIVE DATES:

Oct 31st – Girls Wanna Rock Fest – London
Nov 5th – The Moon – Cardiff
Nov 8th onwards – Scotland tour dates TBC
