Smoking Martha

Aptly named, the only word to describe this band is smoking’. Like the smouldering heat from a well-tended fire, the eclectic rock punk outfit known as Smoking Martha has the intensity to scorch your best shirt but the discretion to spare your eyebrows.

Fresh off their biggest UK tour to date with Wrecking Crew touring, Aussie rockers Smoking Martha have built up a strong cult following across the UK, Europe and Australia with their high energy debut record ‘In Deep’ released via European label Bad Reputation Records.

The band has been burning through prestigious music venues in Australia, New Zealand and the UK with their crushing live show since their first EP in 2014. Playing alongside huge acts such as Sisters Of Mercy (UK), Everclear (USA), Fuel (USA), Uriah Heep (UK), Seether (SA), Cherie Currie (USA), Trapt (USA), Bernie Torme (UK), Wolfmother (AUS), Hardcore Superstar (Sweden), Saxon (Germany), Thunder (UK), Saliva (US), P.O.D (USA) and many more.

With regular appearances at Australia’s favourite alternative festivals The Dead of Winter Fest, Halloween Hysteria and Mojo Burning they also claimed their first UK festival with an evening slot at the 2018 Hard Rock Hell festival.

Their diverse blend of rock, Tasha’s smouldering vocals and the bands captivating instrumental hooks, Smoking Martha have been receiving praise from household names in the rock sphere including the UK’s very own Classic Rock magazine, The Huff Post UK, and Australia’s Triple J, Triple M, Blunt Magazine – just to name a few.

The band wasted no time and jumped back in the studio with producer Matthew Bartlem (Dead Letter Circus, Matt Corby) once again for album number two, titled “Universe” – which will be released in late 2021.

The first single Good Girls has already received radio play and great reviews on Australian Broadcaster Triple J.

Two shoulder surgeries and a pandemic later they are ready to release new music again! Get ready for a diverse portfolio of music as tough as the hard heritage of their nation yet overflowing with tonnes of soul and heartfelt passion.
