The sound of the group is inspired by early Underoath Records and similar Post-Hardcore and alternative rock groups such as Taking Back Sunday and Dance Gavin Dance.

However, they’ve also taken inspiration of atmospheric tendencies from more contemporary bands such as Holding Absence and Palm Reader to create a fresh spin on the genre.

The band formed January 2020 from the ashes of previous Brighton Pop Punk/Alternative rock projects CROWNHOUSE and Evertim bringing more pop-centric sensibilities to an otherwise chaotic style of music

The debut single ‘Hollow’ provides a taster from every part of After’s repertoire from crushing, energetic riffs to vulnerable vocals.

Thematically the single focuses on the feeling of giving all of yourself to someone or something and not being able to give anything more.

This is perfectly accompanied by the raw and cathartic energy that is displayed in the band’s performance in the music video.
