Massive kudos to Johnny Doom from Kerrang! Radio – who has been an absolute legend lately by playing not one, not two, not three – but FOUR of our clients this week on his shows.
Electus, Katalina Kicks, Jupiter in Velvet and Chasing Ghosts have all had an airing on his late show over the past few days and they’re all sounding BIG.
It’s been almost too hard to keep up with Joe’s plays for Something Beautiful, and this week has been particularly busy for us all with “track of the week” on BBC Radio Shropshire (w/c Oct 16th) and then a live chat and session on Gaby Roslin’s show on BBC London. (Oct 22nd).
Joe’s absolutely flying at the moment with his upcoming tour and single release – and he’s just announced a show at the O2 Academy in Islington for next March as his other London show sold out.
One to watch, for sure!
It was so awesome to hear Steve Lamacq play Lover’s Fallen Famous on his 6 Music Recommends show on Oct 12th.
The band have had a great first campaign with us and we’re looking forward to the next one. Make sure you check out their album Human Geography too. You’ll LOVE it, I’m sure!
Thanks to Pete Bailey for choosing to play Peter118 and Katalina Kicks on his shows on Primordial Radio (w/c Oct 9th).
The recently launched rock and metal station is sounding awesome, so make sure you check it out as well as their Spotify playlists too.
We were thrilled to hear that “The Dark Lord” Alex Lester (previously of BBC Radio 2) had chosen to play a track from Tiger Lilly on his local BBC show on Saturday 7th October.
His show broadcasts from 10pm on 5 regional BBC stations including BBC WM, BBC Shropshire, Hereford and Worcester, BBC Stoke and BBC Coventry and Warwickshire . As Alex says: “Anything else is just fur”.
Well done, Tiger Lilly:-)
Woah, it’s been another hectic week here at Pluggin Baby with three of our clients being added to Johnny Doom’s show on Kerrang! Radio once again (w/c Sept 18th).
Congrats to Peter118, The Bronsons and The Bottom Line for being played on the late show on the legendary rock station with the even more legendary Mr Doom.
You all sounded awesome:-)
It’s been fun to hang out at BBC 3CR recently as both Kit Walker and Lee Murray were invited onto Nick Coffer’s show to have a chat and to play live too.
Nick from Kit Walker was up first and talked about the band’s new single Mr Wright, the launch of their very own retro computer game and played a track in session on Sept 15th. Sounded awesome too.
Next up it was Lee Murray who had a great time chilling, chatting and singing with Nick on Sept 25th.
Thanks to Nick Coffer and all the team at BBC 3CR – we hope to see you soon!
