It just keeps getting better for Billy Bibby & The Wry Smiles with the support he’s getting on his local BBC station – BBC Radio Wales.
He’s previously been playlisted on the station and always supported massively by Adam Walton on the Introducing show. Last week, Janice Long got on board the “Billy train” and this week, it was the turn of Lisa Gwilym on the afternoon show as Billy was a guest on June 6th.
Billy was originally going to be playing live on the show, but he’d lost his singing voice during his Scottish gigs and at a wedding two days before – but like the true pro he is, he didn’t let Lisa down. He managed to keep his voice going through the interview and the play of his singles Substitute and Hamburg.
Well done, Billy! Sounded great!
We’re having a great time working with America’s Jupiter in Velvet right now – it’s actually been hard keeping up with all the plays for the single Til The End Of The World.
So many radio stations picked up the single on the first week of plugging and we were pleased to tell Jupiter that his track was being played by the world-famous Kerrang! Radio too. – not once, but twice! (June 2nd and 6th).
This is just the start of something big! Well done, Jupiter!
We were really happy to be plugging the new single from Devon’s Chay Snowdon as it’s been a while since we worked with him on his previous tracks.
We’ve missed him… so it was great when we got the nod that Janice Long would be playing “Around The Sun” on her show on BBC Radio Wales on May 31st.
Chay was over the moon – and we must admit to having a dance around the office ourselves too.
Thanks Janice…. such a sweetheart!
It’s been great to have Janice Long back on the radio on her BBC Radio Wales shows since May 22nd, and she wasted no time supporting the new single by Billy Bibby & The Wry Smiles just 2 days later.
She was the first broadcaster in the UK to play Hamburg on her Summer Nights show on BBC Wales and it sounded awesome. Since Janice’s spin, Adam Walton has also played the song on his Introducing Show and we’ve just got word that Janice would like to have Billy and the band in for a session on her show in July.
We think that can be arranged;-)
