It’s been a brilliant first week for our new clients Wills and The Willing and their single Butterflies.
We kicked off the week with a live interview on Monday (Jan 23rd) on BBC Radio Jersey (thanks Tony G!) and followed it up with a play on BBC Radio 2 on Janice Long’s penultimate show on the station.
Janice has been a fan of the band for over 10 years and just *had* to play the single before leaving her night time show for good. We wish Janice well with the next stage of her career and we’re grateful for all the support you’ve given our artists on your Janice Loves feature.
Butterflies sounded beautiful on the radio:-)
I think 2017 may just be the year for Brian Kroll’s outfit My Son The Bum! We’re busy plugging the new single Mad Man and it’s been going down a storm with DJ’s and producers all over the UK (and beyond!).
We ended their first week of plugging with a play on Johnny Doom’s evening show on Kerrang! Radio (Jan 20th) and we hear Mr Doom will be airing the track again tonight (Jan 27th).
Thanks to all the stations that have played My Son The Bum’s single so far – it’s available now via the band’s website for free! http://mysonthebum.com
Wow! The campaign for Billy Bibby & The Wry Smiles is going full steam ahead at the moment, with radio interviews and sessions galore – and then the news that their single “Substitute” had been added to the Evening playlist on Virgin Radio.
We’ve achieved various spot plays for our clients on Virgin over the past few months, but never a playlist addition – so it was beers all around last weekend when we heard! (w/c Jan 16th and w/c Jan 23rd)
Let’s hope Billy can make it onto the daytime playlist next!
Well done to Morganway, who were invited into Soho Radio to play a live session for Tony Moore on January 21st.
We’ve really enjoyed plugging them over the past few weeks and to finish the campaign with a live radio appearance always makes up feel good:-)
Thanks to Tony and thanks to Morganway for being so lovely:-)
One of our new bands for 2017 is Where Fires Are – and I guess, like other new clients, they were thinking “is this plugger gonna run off with our hard earned cash?” or “have we made a mistake choosing this company?” – but they needn’t have worried as it’s all going very well!
After mailing out their track “I’ve Got The Time” last week, Radio 2XS replied straight away with positive vibes – as did Amazing Radio and Kerrang! Radio.
They’ve been played on Shell Zenner’s show on Amazing Radio already this week (w/c Jan 16th) and also had their first spin on Johnny Doom’s show on Kerrang! Radio. They’ve been getting great support on their local BBC Station in Leeds, and it’s great to see the word is spreading for the band. Be sure to check them out!
We were just minding our own business this weekend (Jan 14th/15th) when we opened an email from the guys at Virgin Radio and saw they’d added the new single from Billy Bibby & The Wry Smiles to their evening playlist.
They hadn’t given us any warning of this great news – so we were all surprised – but very happy! Make sure you check out Virgin Radio to hear the single Substitute. I’m sure you’ll love the single and the radio station:-)
We started the year by organising a “radio tour” to coincide with The Bottom Line’s UK tour (w/c Jan 9th) and it went really well!
We kept them busy with our DJ friends in Glasgow, Nottingham, Manchester, London, Bristol and Southampton and the band made a lot of radio friends along the way.
What a great start to the year for the band. Well done, guys!
I hear the *actual* tour went well too;-)
After a very successful campaign with their last single, we’re back with a bang in 2017 with The Survival Code as we promote their track “One” to radio – and it’s gone down a storm!
Johnny Doom from Kerrang! Radio played it twice in one week on his show (w/c Jan 9th) and it sounded awesome. The band also appeared with him on his Amp’d TV show at the end of last year.
You can get their new e.p. Broken Strings now. We recommend you do;-)
There’s no rest for the wicked, as we launch into a new year with the new single from Billy Bibby and the Wry Smiles – and it’s going well so far!
Thanks to Adam Walton from BBC Radio Wales for being the first to play the new single Substitute on his Introducing show on January 7th. It sounded awesome:-)
We’ve had interest from a lot of radio stations and have already set up a session and interview with BBC Radio Wales for later in the month too.
This is our 3rd campaign with Billy, and we’re loving every minute. He and his band are ones to watch for 2017 for sure!
Wow, what a busy 2016 we had at Pluggin Baby. We’ve just finished our 4th year in the business and things are growing all the time.
Our relationships are getting stronger with our radio friends, and we have some amazing clients on our roster that we are proud of working alongside.
Before we get cracking for 2107, I want to say thanks to Fubar Radio in London for asking Andy J Gallagher and Morganway in to play them some tunes and have a chat just before Christmas.
They both had a brilliant time and we hope to set many more up next year!
Happy Christmas, one and all. Have a cool yule;-) Emma Scott xx
